Charles Weston Baker – Trustee After 11 years in the Queens Royal Irish Hussars, where his duties included establishing a tank force for the Sultan of Oman, Charles moved to the commercial sector and held senior roles with Bovis, P&O and Savills. He has 30 years of development, consultancy, sales and marketing experience with residential and leisure projects.
Laura Sinclair Willis – Trustee Thanks to Zoom, Laura’s current role as Chief Executive of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands means she’s been able to retain her position as a Veterans Outdoors’ trustee. Laura has also been a Chief of Staff for the National Trust and Executive Officer to the U.N. Police Commissioner in Haiti.
Grania Phillips, Trustee. Grania is both a prize-winning Devon beef farmer and a former High Sheriff of the county. Both her contacts and expertise in the farming industry have proved vital to our recent successes.
Nick Griffiths MBE, Trustee. Nick served for 26 years in the Royal Marines before retiring in 2016. He has intimate experience of the military medical system and is a trained coach and SSAFA mentor. He has provided a sympathetic ear, guidance and advice to dozens of veterans who have transitioned successfully to civilian life after physical and mental injury.
Haydn White – (Interim Chair of Trustees) Haydn is a Royal Marine veteran of 34 years’ service retiring in 2021. He has significant operational and Headquarters experience including numerous tours of duty based in the South West which is now home. His last appointment included a 3 years spell as a Trustee of the Royal Marines Charity.
