Our Team
Our operations team includes veterans with, between them, decades of lived experience of the forces and an understanding of the events and causes that can lead to mental health conditions. Many of us have seen, at first hand, the impact of trauma and the challenges of life after service but also the wellbeing, healing effect of outdoor activity.
Our qualified care staff make sure everyone who comes to us is looked after and supported.
Head of Operations – Mike Last
Our Head of Operations is Mike Last. Mike spent 27 years as a Medic in the Royal Navy, deploying on multiple Operational tours including to Iraq and Afghanistan. He has significant experience of the military medical discharge and resettlement processes. On leaving he worked as a Medical Management Consultant and as a Paramedic Clinical Advisor for the NHS 111 Service.
With a keen interest in mindfulness, and how this is integrated within the rehabilitation pathway, he is currently completing mindfulness meditation teacher training.
